Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

News and Fun Happenings

So this weekend is thanksgiving for us canadians, so I am at home right now. It's good, except I have a midterm tomorrow at 8:30 am (seriously what professor gives a midterm first thing back from the holidays?) and we aren't getting back to school until really late. It's funny, studying here with all the cats is hilarious. One kitten like, attacking the laptop screen, the other biting my brand new textbook, and another biting my toe.

I can never concentrate well on drawing here, but I brought a breyer home and am customizing it. It's a lonesome glory mold, and I'm making it into rachel alexandra. I repositioned all 4 legs, the head and neck, and re sculpted the whole mane and tail. I also got some flowers from michaels to make the kentucky oaks blanket for her. She's almost done, and will just need painting when I get home. My mom owns a power sander which has come in quite handy. And I have more space here to make a huge mess.

Lol, it's also fun using a candle and this power sander with the kittens trying to put their face in everything. Or biting the model's face when I'm not looking

And my mom went crazy and cooked all this food. She made 2 turkeys, all this shepard's pie and other stuff. She wants to have lots of leftovers

So this weekend has been pretty good. Stuff at school isn't though, I've been going to the doctor at least once a week and I think I finally am getting what I need. There's been lots of crap going on so it's good to get away for a bit

oh, and mirage didn't get any bids. Doesn't bother me, I know I've been starting my auctions higher, but him and incantation make a good set so I'm keeping him for now.

I hope everyone else is good.

Good luck with your customizing job! I'm excited to see it finished. Although like another commenter said, for a minute I was all excited that Breyer was making an official Rachael Alexandra model. Oh well, what would customizers and repainters do if Breyer made a model of everything?

and everyone was saying how its so much better now, that they take into account dependent children and such, but thats a lie. I know people who have 2 sisters and brothers in school along with them and they still can't get loans. like even if your parents make like 100k a year if you have 3 kids in uni things are still tight. they're loans too, what are they losing by letting people have loans. its stupid. lol I guess its good im poor, didn't have to worry about approval, lol!

yeah, osap is my rent money lol queens paid tuition this year, not sure what will happen next year, my scholarship was only 2 years long. thats good you have money for tuition! all that working huh?

its been alright. I find the psyc stuff so interesting and I'm so relieved to be out of chem and bio. like they're science based psyc so there is still chem stuff but its not as intense. plus I like it so its easier to do the work and such.

what about you? are you taking all artsy stuff? meeting lots of other people and such? is it nice being away from fort erie?
