**My laptop has died and will be fixed wednesday, but until then I won't be on much

Well, happy new years to all! Let's hope this year doesn't suck as bad as 2008 okay so there were some okay things in the last few months, but overall I am not sad that this year is over.

So I got this idea from *MichelleWalker. Just a little reflection on where my art has gone from a year ago to now... it'd be cool to see others' post the same thing

So, my colouring style changed dramatically, thanks mostly to *Aryenne. (her coloring tutorial) I think I improved just by coloring flat and pressing hard

And with sculpting, definately improved. I only started sculpting in like november of 2007, so I've only actually been sculpting about a year; so obviously that would improve. I think the main improvement was in the legs

So...in other news, there's some things I plan to do in the new year, with art and with everything else. I hope everyone's else's year goes really well.

I still have a few days before I go back to school, and even then it'll be a few weeks before we get back into a heavy workload, so if anyone wants to do an art trade then let me know

I made some more sculpts today, including a carosel horse! I also went to walmart and bought another shelf, so yay for room to put stuff. I also got a brita filter, some sweats and PJs, and other junk.

I had a nice christmas. Mom lost our car so I can't get around much, but that's sort of good since then we don't waste money as often. For christmas people got me lots of art supplies. One of my friends got me a huge set of watercolor pencils, and my family got me some watercolor pencils, sketch pencils, normal colored pencils, and a sketchbook. My gramma and my dad both gave me some cash so I have some money to get more stuff (or to save, that's the problem with christmas money) but I'm going to michael's in a few days hopefully. I also got a gift certificate for there so that helps. I have like half a bar of sculpey left but there's no way I'm getting that at michaels, since it's like $23 a bar here.

What else...my mom got me breyers for christmas, but they were an online order so not surprising or anything. I got Barbaro, Seattle Slew, and Della Robbia. All gorgeous ones I've wanted for ages. I also got my new tablet pen (that wasn't a present though) and a crapload of candy. One of my friends got me a discoball, and my brother stole it! But I stole it back I also got a jack skellington sweater! Oh and dad got me an ipod, but I said that already. I also got some socks! Pink ones and some people sent cards and things but they're waiting for me at school.

All in all, an excellent holiday so far!
