I'm moving tomorrow! There's no net at the house yet and I'm not sure if the university's wireless reaches that far, so I might be offline for a bit. I doubt we can get our net hooked up the first day, so probably next week.
I've done lots of art this week. I worked on my digital picture of tariana a fair bit, finished 2 trade pictures, and did a few people portraits (on of amy lee, one of sharon den adel which is almost finished, and one of anette olzon that is sketched) so I've been keeping busy. I took some nice pictures of poof and oot (or Gloobert and Beatbox as my brother now calls them) and might add a few of those later as well.
Been searching for jobs...I applied so far at indigo, kelseys, a random motel, a few other resteraunts, an art store, and a music store. Hopefully I will find something soon.
We went to the states to shop yesterday (I don't have a passport and they're switching to passport only on the 1st of june so I'm going to try and go lots this month, lol) and got some nice things. I hate clothes shopping but find it at least bearable in the states since their sizing is somewhat normal. An 3x in canada is like, a medium in the states. It's stupid. Plus the states is way cheaper, even with the dollar like it is.
So I go some good clothes for the job search, and we went to michael's as well. I got 2 bars of paperclay, which I've wanted to try for a long time. I don't have any old breyers here so I grabbed a grand champion and sat for hours cutting it apart and melting it, lol. I'm excited to paint it.
I also bought a sewing machine today! It's this high tech 80's thing that *apparently* cost $1500 in the 80's, and I got it for $50. Kijiji is the best site ever, such cheap things. So now I have to learn how to use the thing, haha.
I also looked at air brushes and n64s. I've always wanted to try an airbrush but really have never done it so can't rationalize spending like $400 on one, but under $100 is fine, who knows. And I decided to get an n64... I have a ps2 but the only good games are 1 player, and we had a nintendo growing up and LOVED it. Diddy kong racing, smash brothers, bomberman... good multiplayer fun.
Well I've gotten furniture and such too, so yeah. Still working on a table, but we've got a sofa and tv... hehe. Now we have a subletter, plus one of my housemates is taking a summer course so she'll be living here for a month as well. yay! Living alone in a huge house would be scary.
Anyways, so things have been good. Being at home is boring, stressful and sort of pointless, but oh well. Also the derby is on saturday, and I likely won't have cable OR internet, wtf. Maybe I'll go to a bar or something to watch it.
sorry for not updating/commenting lately.. i've been crazy busy
