I want to get that other journal off my page.
We are now in kentucky, as you probably gathered from my pictures.
So, yesterday was the day we got here. We drove for 12 hours, after FINALLY leaving... we waited an extra day since dad didn't want to take the dog. then the day we left dad agreed to take the dogs and the rats as long as my brother took care of them, but on the way back to his house in toronto they had a huge fight and he brought everyone back and was being a complete idiot. Him and my brother were fighting outside out house in the middle of the night and since we live in a small town, the police (4 full cars) got there within minutes. It was amusing to say the least. they're such idiots.
so adam just is staying at our house to watch the pets, then he can keep the cats company too. Even though adam is all but trustworthy...
so on the way here we went to Blick arts and crafts; it was so cheap! I got 8lbs of super sculpey for less than $70, and 60 polychromos for $70 and a bunch of pearl ex powders and some other crap. the total was like $170 for stuff that would cost like $400 on the internet, so I was happy! If we still have money on the way back I'm going to get more clay.
Today we went to keeneland and looked around then we went to the horse park to see Cigar and the rest.
EDIT:
Yesterday we went to Hurricane Hall, Hill N Dale, Shadwell, and Stonewall farms. I tried to upload one pic of each horse (except Invasor because he is amazing) but I have tons more on facebook, so go to the links on each pic if you want to see (and feel free to add me on facebook I don't mind)
After that we went to the Keeneland gift shop and I got some books. One was on Whirlaway and the other was about the Breeder's Cup. I have so many horseh books now, I really need to read more often.
Then today we went to Adena Springs, Vinery and Airdrie. Much to my annoyance, Ashford, Darley, Three Chimneys, Winstar, and Gainesway have all said we can't go this week (or in Winstar and Gainesway's case, not at all) so that sucks. I assume some of Darley's horses are down south and whatnot, but still.
After that we came back to the hotel for a bit then went to the little mall here. I bought a few books (neither of them horse related) in Canada the books still have the canadian and american prices, but the prices do NOT reflect the exchange rate so it ends up being a lot cheaper here. Plus tax is less in kentucky than in buffalo even, so that's great. We also bought adam some video games and I got some proactiv which I really needed. I refuse to buy it online anymore with their club aka charge my credit card every 5 seconds crap.
Also when we went to the horse park earlier I bought 2 breyer horses, one was Rags to Riches and the other was Ideal. I've wanted both of them for a while so that is much excellent.
Oh, and today we saw a deer at Airdrie farm...it was cool. I've obviously seen deer before out riding and such but I never had my camera

It was really neat to see.
Also today we saw a bunch of horses in a field (very typical in kentucky) and they were all standing in a huge circle (like 20 mares and foals) and I thought it was cool since it reminded me of the unicorns in firebringer, lol. I took a picture but it was when we were a bit lower so you can't see the circle shape as well.
I also have been drawing a lot with the polys I bought but there isn't good lighting here so I will add those when I get home.
Tomorrow we are going to churchill downs.

then thursday and friday we're going to try to go to claiborne, hopewell, lane's end, and maybe pin oak or darby dan.
