The main point of this journal was the reminder about winning a commission. The draw is happening this weekend, so if you want to get in on the raffle please do soon! It's a great opportunity to commission me for only a few dollars! I'm excited to find out who wins.

In other news, not really a whole lot is going on. I've been working and doing art in whatever spare time I have. It's been a pretty decent summer so far. I'm working midnights so my sleep schedule is totally backwards (as in, going to bed at 11am, waking up at 7pm, haha) but it's been fun. I have a few sculptures that should be ready to add soon, however it's been raining all week so I'm not sure when I will have those posted. I am hoping to set up an auction on ebay sometime in the next week or so, which should be interesting, I haven't sold anything on ebay in about 2 years.

So I have a white furry kirin that should be added soon, and a hippocampus that just needs some hair and will be ready soon as well. Then I have a palomino kirin that needs to be painted. After that I have a few welsh cob types. One is a portrait model of a black cob. Then I have a big commission with two cobs pegged onto a base. I've been working on those a bit in the last few days. It's been difficult since their poses are complicated, but they will look awesome when they're done, hopefully! I also have several trades lined up. I am making a dark bay egyptian arabian with egyptian jewellery. Then I am doing a brown and black manticore which should be an interesting challenge. And then I have a few other trades in the works for more kirins. Kirins for all!

Hopefully once I get more ahead with the commission list I will be branching out a bit. I have a whole bunch of sketches for things I want to make, just a matter of finding time! So anyway, things are pretty good. It's nice to be able to work on art and not have to worry about school work all the time. Wahoo!

The American Heartland Live Show is happening May 21-22, run by *Riabhach. This year I have donated a gift certificate good for one 5 inch commission by me ($120 value!). It is a raffle contest and tickets can be purchases through *Riabhach. You get to pick all the details for your sculpture, and I am going to pay to ship it to you. Tickets are pretty cheap, so this would be a way of commissioning for just a few dollars! Prices:

$1 each
6 for $5,
12 for $10
18 for $15, etc
125 for $100

Payments can be made by cheque, money order, or paypal. For paypal payments, please get *Riabhach to send you a payment request or invoice, as paypal has issues with payments marked as raffle contests. In order to enter, please contact *Riabhach by note with how many tickets you would like. She lives in the states (if you're mailing a cheque or a money order) but the sculpture will ship from me, in Canada.
