I am completely done exams, which is a huge relief. They went pretty well. We have a 3 week exam period and all 5 of mine were crammed into the second week. So I had a week off, then was done early. It was nice. I am currently in the midst of training for a job working part time midnights at a coffee shop. I actually wanted to just work part time so I could focus more on art, so hopefully that works out well. I am also doing a thesis project next year and there are things I have to do for that over the summer, but for the most part, I have lots more time to sculpt and do fun things.

For now, the bulk of the projects I am working on are commissions, as they got a bit backed up while I was on exams. I have one that should be finished in the next few days, and another that is ready to be painted. I have also been working on several kirins, with scales and antlers and all that (I think I posted some sketches in my scraps) so those will be up at some point too. There are three kirins for now, might be more though. I am also doing a blue, grey, and silver hippocampus with film fins, and an egyptian arabian. Finally, I have a big commission of two welsh cobs pegged to a base. I also bought a whole bunch of feathers and am trying to work on making nice feathery wings for sculptures.

So there should be a steady bunch of sculptures being added here in the coming months. Initially mostly commission stuff but in the few weeks after I'm hoping to branch out a bit and try some new things.

The American Heartland Live Show is happening May 21-22, run by *Riabhach. This year I have donated a gift certificate good for one 5 inch commission by me ($120 value!). It is a raffle contest and tickets can be purchases through *Riabhach. You get to pick all the details for your sculpture, and I am going to pay to ship it to you. Tickets are pretty cheap, so this would be a way of commissioning for just a few dollars! Prices:

18 for $15, etc
125 for $100

Payments can be made by cheque, money order, or paypal. For paypal payments, please get *Riabhach to send you a payment request or invoice, as paypal has issues with payments marked as raffle contests. In order to enter, please contact *Riabhach by note with how many tickets you would like. She lives in the states (if you're mailing a cheque or a money order) but the sculpture will ship from me, in Canada.
