Hi everyone. As summer is winding down I've decided to close commissions for right now. I love doing commissions and have had fun doing them this summer, but unfortunately since I am starting school in September I won't be able to dedicate the same amount of time. It's not fair to take on orders only to make people wait ages for them. It would also be stressful to me to try and do both. This is my last year at school and there's a lot going on so it's best for me to close orders.

Despite this, I know there are two people who have contacted me about commissions this month who didn't have money to deposit right away and said they would contact me at the end of the month. Those people are still on this list and I will still get your orders done. And of course I'll finish the orders on my current list. I'm just closing off any additional orders.

Also, I will still be doing sculpture and selling items, I'm just not taking custom orders. So it is likely I will list things on etsy and ebay from time to time. I will likely be taking a few commission slots on in December 2011 when I have a few weeks off for Christmas break, and I will most likely open them back up in May 2012 for the summer. However I will not be keeping a waiting list or anything like that. I've been spending the last week or so in Niagara with my family before I go back to school. I've got three commissions in the works here, one is a palomino light saddlebred unicorn, one is a friesian mare and foal set, and the last is a celtic pegasus. In addition I have been working on other random side projects. I have a white leafy sea dragon type hippocampus, another random kirin, and a few plushie dolls. I found a bunch of faux fur (and some real fur) at a garage sale, so I made a few little clay heads and am hoping to stitch them into poseable dolls at some point. I start a lot of personal projects that never amount to anything so I'm not promising they'll get done, but we'll see. There's a kirin I've been working on that I started at the same time I started Aphelion

Anyway, I hope this journal isn't too depressing.
