Fredderick - The Destroyer of Childhood Dreams

Fredderick envelops many aspects of childhood terror - and he knows it. He crawls room to room, hiding in closets and under beds, stealing toys and moving objects around, enough that you know he's there yet not conspicuous enough for anyone to believe you. He waits patiently, hoping that you won't be able to hold it until morning, ready to grab an ankle as you go to sprint for the bathroom. You think back, remembering the shrill laughter, the soft jingle of the bells on his hat, the sound of shifting tentacles, and wonder how many children didn't survive his wrath. You count yourself lucky, but don't dare tell a soul, knowing your friends and family will say you're imagining things. But Fredderick hasn't forgotten you. He waits, searching the nooks within your old bedroom. There will be a day in the future when your parents will invite you home for a weekend to reminisce, and though you want to decline, you succumb to social pressure. And he's there, he's always been there, and this time - luck may not be on your side.

Fredderick is a ooak (one of a kind) polymer clay sculpture, created over a wire and foil armature. Fredderick is about 9 inches long and 5.5 inches tall. I had way too much fun making him. He is currently for sale on etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/158874273…
