Eos by scenceable Eos by scenceable
Eos is a ooak (one of a kind) hippocampus or seahorse sculpture. She stands about 9 inches tall or so.

Eos is made from polymer clay (super sculpey, kato polyclay, and sculpey superflex) over a wire and foil armature. She has inset resin eyes (charcoal- dark grey coloured) and tibetan lamb fur hair. Her fins are made from fantasy film ironed over thin silver wire.

Eos was fun to make. I spent a long time on the armature, it was difficult to get the tail to look aesthetically pleasing and balance properly. As you can see, it only rests on two points. I did have a lot of fun sculpting the scales.

The commissioner asked for it to be a grey arabian mare with black hair, large eyes, and a sapphire blue and silver tail. She provided the fantasy film as well.

I enjoyed making her- especially because the commissioner also owns Ephemeral and Thanatos, I just love sending sculptures to go live with each other. :)

I really love it, especially the texture of the tail. (I think I have a thing for the tails you make lmao.)
