Ena (mother) and Kail (foal) are OOAK (one of a kind) friesian sculptures.
Ena is about 6.5 inches long and 7 inches tall. Kail is about 3 inches long. They were completely handmade from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature. They were then painted in acrylic, and have tibetan lamb fur for hair. Their eyes are inset resin eyes.
They come with a base which is made from clay, painted, with small pebbles and reindeer moss.
They were a lot of fun to make! They were a commission so are not for sale.

This is such a beautiful piece not only for the intense talent involved but for the extreme sense of life! The photograph itself is amazing, it feels so real and the blur to hair that seems to turn it to smoke is stunning not to mention the lovely gray atmosphere which feels oceanic. The sculptures (I can almost not stand to call them that, they seem too real for that) are incredible, the musculature is very nicely done and the character each one has and sense of life and motion is amazing. I love that foal especially, it seems like we are definitely catching it in action. The mane and tail are beautiful in general as always , they always look so lush and touchable. Gorgeous job.
Wow, thanks so much for the lovely words . The were a ton of fun to make and I had a lot of trouble getting a good photo so that means a lot to me! They are perched on a rock by the lake, I'm glad the oceanic feel comes across!
