Cursive is a OOAK (one of a kind) unicorn sculpture. He was made from polymer clays over tin foil and wire. He has green resin eyes, and mohair for his mane and tail.
He is 6.5 inches tall to the crest of his neck. He is slightly smaller than my other recent unicorns.
He is meant to be an andalusian type. Painted in acrylics to a dapple grey with gold horn and hooves.
My main issue with this guy is that his belly should be a lot bigger since his eck and haunches are so thick. I have a few issues with the anatomy of his back legs, but overall I really like him.
I bought all the mohair completely raw, and it took me over 2 hours just to clean the portion I used for him. But it is beautiful now, no hay or bugs or goat stink to be found!
He will be for sale on etsy (or maybe ebay, I haven't sold on there in ages) but not until I get back from our road trip. (don't want stuff waiting to ship while I'm away.) So around november 12.
I would agree that his belly could be a bit bigger, if you were going for a strictly equine anatomy, but since he's a unicorn why shouldn't his body be a little fanciful? I think he looks majestic, overall.
I'd like the photograph to be a little more uniformly lit (the hooves are blending completely into the backdrop on my screen), so I can get a better idea of the paint job.
Thank you The hooves are covered on my screen too, I think I should have picked a lighter coloured backdrop. The pink one I've been using lately is a lot better
