Description

My equine secret santa (ess) gift for =BrokenHoofbeats! This is the gorgeous character, Presence!

I finished this a while ago but wanted to wait until christmas to add it

It is done with water color, pencil crayons, and a bit of pencil. The autumn scene was fun to do! I figured it was good to do something besides a winter scene

Much thanks goes to *Equinus for organizing everything for the secret santa! I missed out last year and had tons of fun doing it this year.

_{First of all i want to say that this is beautiful piece of art.

I like how your horses have improved. Not like i don't like arabian kind high steppers. They are cool, but sometimes you need to show the not so beautiful side of a horse. You are heading to that point. The anatomy is good in this picture, colours suit the background, but still have a little contrast for better overall look. I have allways envied the way you draw manes and tails. They look so hairy...lol.

You have done great things with the grass and tree textures. The look like from savannah or someplace else african-ish. Trees look like from old tea garden with fenshui forms. Leaves are good enough, but little too similar to each other.

You should add more darkness for the sky. Sun is great but it is also not all in the same colour. Colourful spectrum in the sky is also great but it still should be more saturated, and then the reflection in the water would also look better and stand out in the grass. Also some trees should reflect, only the ones that are closest to the water, and of course the horse should also reflect not only bring shadow under him/her.

Still this is very beautiful drawing, and it would take me years to do it. It also gives warm feeling in this cold winter.}
