It took me so long to come up with the idea. After coming up with nothing for like 2 weeks, I was bored yesterday and just... started drawing! stupid weird inspiration.
So, since Illyria is into flowers and the like, she pertains more to spring. Being that they are supposedly my fursonas, and that spring and fall are my favorite seasons...it makes sense for Gabriella to like Fall
I originally had her in a piaffing stance, but it looked stupid so now she's frolicking in a river. w00t.
I actually made her look like an arab. yay! I don't manage to do that much. Oh, and I even gave her one of those fancy arab tails that are longer at the tip so they have pretty flowing hair when they run.
Anyways, about the drawing, it took about 4 hours altogether, and I like the background a lot. I hate how the water looks, and definately need to work on drawing splashes. But I do like the trees and the lighting. and my blobby leaves.
14x17 pencil crayon
EDIT: changed the photo and fixed a bit of lighting things.

You're welcome. Me too. They are so great for shading and getting textures.

This is really beautiful and conveys a nice mood and feeling. The photographic quality almost adds to that dreamy feel.
A small point of critique would be that there should be more shadow on the unicorn's side facing us. The same way your trees have lovely trunk shadows. The edges of the unicorn should be lighter, being hit by the sun, but the center most parts should be darker. But lightning is difficult to do right, and this still looks fabulous.
I fixed it up a bit (as best I could with colored pencils) when I reupload it (in less blurry form) hopefully it'll look nicer thanks again for the suggestions

and yeah, I sorta added the sun beams in after I did the rest of it, lol, so that probably messed with the lighting. thanks for the tips!
