so, this is for the contest called "mythical dreams" over at *Enchantedforest.

I made the actual doll look as dream like as possible, giving her poofy cloud-like hair and a soft, serene look. I also decided for more detail and to enhance the dream-like portion of this, that I would make a base.

The base is made of wood, with small pebbles glued on. there is a tree and some grass and flowers, all stuff I bought from different places. they're just fake flowers and other stuff I found at craft stores. there are also some large blue flowers and some smaller white ones. the pathway is lined with shimmery translucent petals.

the actual horse is made from various types of clay, from scratch, over wire and foil. Her legs, horn, ears, and tail are made from a light flexible clay, so she is slightly poseable. Her hair is rooted in silk/wool roving that I dyed myself. Her eyes are blue glass beads, and she is painted with acrylics. Her name is Augment, hence the deviation title.

I think that's about it; I'm very proud of this piece. It is for sale (base included) for $75 CDN. If no one buys it in the next bit, I might just put it on ebay. We'll see.

edit: I changed up the base a bit since she wasn't standing on it well and it looked a bit bland. it looks fuller now.
